Vehicle Description

1941 Ford Pickup “Charlie.”  Tucson car since new and was the shop truck for “Charlies Auto Service.” previously located at 228 E 6th st here in Tucson. (Now Crooked Tooth Brewing Co. ((If you look close you can still see the old Charlies signage on the Building.)) The shop closed when Charlie died in the early 80’s. The Truck was stored in that building until I rescued it in 2013 from Charlies son Robert. At that time we rebuilt the brakes, fuel system, and installed new tires. The current paint job was done in 1948. The hand lettering was done by “Spencer,” who was well known for hand painting the Barnum Bailey Signs according to Robert. Loaded with era accessories and even a flame thrower exhaust!

Amazing piece of Tucson History! Not For Sale
