Vehicle Description

1932 Ford Roadster V12 Jaguar Pro Touring roadster. Completely custom built from the ground up by a mechanical engineer with a sports car background that wanted a Hot Rod with the feel, sound, and power of a V12 Jaguar. It was built over a 5 year period, completed in 2010, and has 3235 miles on the odometer. this car was featured in the October 2010 issue of “Hot Rod Magazine.”

The body is all steel with panels sourced from “Reprosteel” in Sweden. The body was widened 6″ and has an overall wheelbase 7″ longer than a stock 32 Ford. The hood is Aluminum with steel reinforcements. The grille was machined out of stainless bar stock. The Chassis was hand made with 2×6 steel tube and utilizes front and rear suspension components from a 1989 Jaguar V12. All components were rebuilt and the front suspension was chromed. There are adjustable coil overs and 4 piston disc brakes on all 4 corners. Paint is a 2 stage Dupont “Adriatic Blue”, a factory Jaguar color.

The interior sports handmade Mahogany accents throughout including an e-brake handle integrated into the console. The seats are factory Jaguar and recovered in correct grain English leather.  The gauges are Jaguar “Smiths” and all function properly. A roll bar and 3 point seat belts were integrated into the car for added passenger safety. The fully chromed steering column has a tilt feature with 14″ mahogany 3 spoke steering wheel. The car comes with a tonneau cover, a folding top in Haartz Canvas, both of which fit nicely in the trunk along with the slide-in Safety glass side windows. A custom made aluminum Hard top is also included. The car is equipped with a vintage air AC and Heat but the AC part was never finished. Under the dash is all done but it would need a compressor mounted for the AC part to work.

Powered by a 1989 Jaguar V12 rebuilt by Bill Drake engines in Rochestor NY. The Overhead Cams were upgraded to an ISKY XM-2, the ignition was upgraded with a Crane Fireball system. The custom dual 4 barrel intake is topped with Holley 350cfm carbs. The Headers and exhaust were all custom made. A large capacity Radiator and electric fan keeps the car very cool. The v12 is backed by a Tremec 5 speed transmission with hydraulic clutch.

Featured in the October 2010 issue of Hot Rod Magazine as well as being a multiple show winner (awards not included) Certainly one of the most unique 32 roadsters built and the only one I have seen set up with the V12 Jaguar power. A true Sports car in a Hot Rods Body.
