This 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300SD was originally delivered to Gregg Motor Cars, Inc. of Jacksonville, Florida and was acquired by the a New Jersey Mercedes Benz specialist from the family of its original owner in December 2019. Finished in Anthracite Grey Metallic over grey leather, the car is powered by a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-five paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. In 2019 Major service was performed which included replacing the exhaust system, alternator, and drivetrain mounts, installing new A/C components, and refreshing the fuel system. This W126 shows 36,514 miles and is offered with its original window sticker, original sales paperwork, factory documents, handwritten notes, a clean Carfax report, unused medical kit, and original never removed spare tire, jack, and tool kit still sealed in its original plastic bag.
The 3.0-liter OM617 turbodiesel inline-five was factory-rated at 121 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. Less than 2 months and 60 miles ago an oil and fuel service was performed at Keith Brooks European service. Runs and drives beautifully. Mechanically everything seems to be operable, AC blows cold, sunroof works, all windows work, all lighting is operable, Becker stereo sounds great, all functions on power seats work. This is a very well cared for Mercedes Benz.
The exterior is still in amazing shape as this car was always garaged. Largely original paint with paint readings shown in the photo gallery. No significant blemishes in the paint and it still shines beautifully. Interior is all original with the exception of the accessory Cocoa Mats. Carpets are beautiful and stain free. Leather seating is still soft and in excellent condition showing minimal wear. All of the Zebrano wood trim is in great shape with very few blemishes. Dash is near perfect but has one small crack that is about 1/2″ long on driver side only visible from outside through the windshield. Headliner has a little staining as shown in the photo gallery. Trunk is perfect, original spare has never been removed.
Engine compartment and undercarriage retains all factory markings, coatings, stickers, etc. No rust ever, you can eat off the bottom of this car.
Certainly one of the lowest mileage 300sd’s available if not the lowest. Outstanding original condition. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer example.
