1972 Ford Sports Custom Cab 3/4 ton pickup. Purchased used in 1975 from Orielly Motor Co in Tucson Arizona by Homer E Hammack. Apparently he loved this particular model because he also purchased a brand new one in Seapine Green in 1972 from Jim Click Ford also here in Tucson. Accompanying the truck are sales receipts from both dealerships for both trucks, a window sticker copy for the green one, original owners manuals and warranty books. There are also state registrations and even a title application for his boat trailer he purchased in 1973. He had a camper shell on this truck and used it for hunting and fishing trips. There are maps included from the 1970’s of various places he visited.

This F250 remained in Homers ownership until 2015 when it was sold to a local Hotrod Shop owner who went through the Power brakes, cooling system, and added a Holley 650cfm vacuum secondary carburetor with electronic ignition. All new tires were installed and the rear 3.73 Dana 60 differential was serviced. He used it as a daily driver for a few years before I purchased the vehicle. His shop has since closed. Runs and drives beautifully with only 75,000 original miles since new.

The body is straight and rust free with the exception of some areas of pinholes in the pickup bed floor due to moisture gathering under a carpet that he had in there. This truck had a camper shell installed for many years. Cab floors and rockers are solid and rust free. A repaint in its original color of “Candyapple Red” was done some 25 years ago and is showing wear throughout but sports an excellent Patina that most would leave as-is. When the repaint was performed he opted to paint all red, originally the roof section was “Wimbledon White.”

Interior Is mostly original with the seat being recovered. The floor mat is amazingly still intact. originally this truck was optioned with under dash AC but it was removed. It still retains the AC condenser. CB radio is not hooked up. This truck has an auxiliary fuel tank but is currently not hooked up for use.

Runs and drives great and has been very reliable. Optioned with the 360 big block V8 and T-18 synchronized 4 speed transmission and the 373 gear makes for a good all around driver. Cool truck with an awesome look.
