1971 Triumph TR6 that has underwent a complete comprehensive top level restoration with no bolt left unturned in the Process. Certified Matching numbers example verified by the British Motorcar Museum Heritage Certificate. Less than 4,000 miles since the restoration was completed on an original 56,667 mile car.
The body was stripped to bare metal before doing any metal repairs and Bodywork. Refinished in the desirable factory color of “British Racing Green” using top of the line PPG products. Very straight panels fully sanded and buffed with a mirror finish. Under the hood, trunk, and door jambs are as nicely detailed as the exterior. Shows in excellent condition with only a couple minor chip touch ups evident (pictured)
The interior was completely refinished with correct materials and Wool Carpets. The convertible top is in good shape but rarely used and takes an extra hand to put up as its very tight. The Convertible top Boot matches the interior and fits snugly. All gauges work great as do the wipers, lighting, and heater. The radio does not but it’s a new unit and will look into that.
The matching numbers 2.5 litre 6 runs great and starts easily cold with aid from the factory fuel enrichener Knob on the dash. The custom Ansa exhaust sounds amazing going through the gears. The 4 speed synchromesh manual transmission shifts smoothly and the clutch feels real good. Rolls on the factory wires with redline radials.
Undercarriage is nicely detailed and factory correct.
This car is certified numbers matching and accompanying the Heritage certificate is a huge 3” thick stack of receipts documenting work performed as well as titles and registrations that go back to the early 80’s that show owner history as well as mileage accumulation over the years.
You would be hard pressed to find a nicer example at any price.
