1967 Volkswagen Deluxe Samba 7 passenger bus. Desirable walk through model with bucket seats up front instead of the standard Bench seat. This was the last year of the split window bus and the first year for 12volt electrical system. Completely restored from the ground up with bolt on upgrades that drastically improve drivability. Powered by an 1835cc modified flat four with dual Empi carbs, electronic ignition, and custom stainless exhaust. Freeway flyer 4 speed transmission allows for a lower rpm at highway speed. Disc brakes with a dual reservoir master cylinder were added for safety. A kenwood stereo system was added with bluetooth connectivity, Focal speakers and a JL Subwoofer hidden in a vintage suitcase.
The body was stripped and professionally refinished, fully color sanded and buffed for a show quality finish. The undercarriage is painted body color, full rotisserie restoration. Correct interior was all refurbished and the sliding sunroof canvas was replaced. All three rows of seats are equipped with seatbelts. All of the window weatherstripping, seals, and body rubber was replaced. Nicely equipped with 6 pop out windows and front pop out “Safari Windows.” The interior retains all of its original “Jail Bars” on windows and luggage rail on rear seat.
Rolls on correct 15″ rims in 2 tone with R165 Coker Classic wide whitewall radial tires. Really fun bust that gets smiles everywhere you go.
