1965 Malibu SS Convertible. Ordered brand new at Orielly Chevrolet here in Tucson and never left. Howard King specially ordered this car for his daughter Sandy and she has owned it ever since until just recently when I acquired the car. I am the second owner. Full documentation including Purchase receipts, warranty Book with protecto Plate, registrations, and a copy of the window sticker. Tons of other recipts and notes included also. This SS was optioned with Power brakes, white and Aqua interior, powerglide automatic, padded dash, Air conditioning, rear antenna, seat belts, push button radio, Artesian turquoise paint, tinted glass, whitewall tires, power steering, and 327, and 250hp 4 barrel engine. The original engine is with the car and in great shape but fully disassembled. He removed it when gas went to unleaded and installed a new engine with hardened valve seats. That engine happens to be a very rare 1965 date coded “EC” suffix 327 300HP engine. It runs fantastic. Original engine with “EE” suffix and a bunch of extra NOS and new/ used parts come with the car. The Transmission was rebuilt and is original to the car. The rear Differential is original to the car but was upgraded to a Posi Traction when rebuilt in 1996. (have receipt) It is a “CW” code 3.31 ratio. Interior was replaced with Ciadella covers and door panels in the early 90’s. At the same time the car was repainted its original color but was an amateur job and has many flaws and fading. Original paint can still be seen in door jambs, under hood, and under decklid. This car has absolutely no rust minus some pitted areas in the trunk from a leaky trunk seal. Top was new a few years back and still in excellent condition. All of the chrome is very nice and original with only minor wear and a few dings here and there. Great driver as-is or restore to show quality. AC Compressor not mounted but comes with. Extremely rare car with these desirable options.
