1958 Chevrolet Apache Pickup. Frame off restoration completed about 10 years ago. In the last year over $15k in mechanical upgrades were performed including new brakes, vintage Air AC and Heat, Custom autosound stereo with Bluetooth and Hands free, USB plug ins, Upgraded HID headlights and LED tail lamps, Aluminum HD radiator with a thermostat controlled fan, and a custom aluminum fuel tank mounted in the rear instead of inside the cab.
Powered by the original type 235 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed manual transmission. Runs great and shifts perfectly. The brakes are manual hydraulic and stop the truck nicely. Rolls on Coker Classic wide whitewall radials.
Interior was refinished to original style. The rubber floor mat has extra insulation underneath. Vintage Air AC and heat keeps the cab comfortable. It has a custom autosound AM FM stereo with Bluetooth and hands free. Speakers are mounted behind the seat. A relocation of the fuel tank from the cab to under the bed allows for more room in the cab and eliminates fuel smell. There is a stain (pictured) on the passenger side of the seat from a magazine that was left on it in the sun. All rubber seals and weatherstrips/ window fuzzies were replaced with new.
The truck was stripped and repainted in factory “Oriental Green” and White 2-tone. Paint is “Driver Quality”, not a show quality paint job. It has some small flaws and touch ups here and there. Body is very solid, door and hood gaps are very nice. Doors open and close very easily without slamming. Wood bed was replaced and is very solid but the finish could use redoing if you wanted it shinier.
Great driving truck ready to enjoy! Very reliable! *Titled as a 1957 model year*
