1949 Mercury Custom. Professionally built from the ground up by Dave Kinnamon of Kinnamons Kustom Kars in Alexandria Indiana. Authentic 50’s look and stance with all the right mods tastefully done.
Roof was chopped 3 “, B pillars were angled forward, Door edges rounded, and rain gutters were retained. All of the chrome mouldings were reshaped, vent windows and rear pop-outs were cut down and refit. Shaved doors and trunk have remote poppers. The Merc was nosed, decked, and frenched. Hood edges were rounded with Louvers added. Smoothy Bumpers from “bumper Boys” were fitted to the car. Gorgeous black paint fully sanded and buffed for a mirror finish. Very nice panel fitment throughout, doors open and close with ease. All exterior brightwork is show quality. All glass, weatherstripping, seals, and window felts are in excellent condition.
Stunning interior in Red with extra sound deadening under the carpet. All garnish Mouldings and dashboard were show painted black. All gauges were restored and are like jewelry to look at. Radio was cosmetically restored but not sure if it works, not hooked up because it has a custom Ken Moore stereo with receiver mounted under the dash.
Powered by a rebuilt 8BA Flathead V8 and 3 speed transmission with overdrive. Upgraded to 12volt with internally regulated alternator. Runs amazing Suspension Lowered with 3″ dropped spindles up front and lowered springs in the back. 1957 Cadillac Hubcaps and wide whitewall radials finish off the car.
Rare to find a Merc so era correct and tastefully finished. She is a stunner!
