1964 Impala Hardtop factory ordered with option L80 409 425HP special high performance package. This impala has under 29,000 original miles and still retains its original matching numbers engine. I am the third owner, the second owner purchased the car in 1988 from the original owner. Just after the second owners purchase the car received a complete frame off restoration. The pristine body required no major metal replacement or repairs and it still retains all of its original panels, floors, and trunk. This car still shows all of the spot welds on the rockers , quarters, and rear wheel well openings that you rarely see these days. While the paint is almost 30 years old it does not show any aging minus a few paint chip touch ups here and there. The car is very straight and fully sanded and buffed for a mirror finish. Excellent body gaps are evident throughout. Interior was completely redone with correct materials and patterns. All weatherstripping and seals were replaced. All of the glass is original to the car. All of the chrome was refinished . Engine was rebuilt and balanced by NHRA world champion drag racer and engine builder Steve Carbone. It is correct from the air cleaner to the oil pan. Runs amazing and is very fast. Backed by a close ratio 4 speed and 410 posi traction rear diff. Comes with receipts from the restoration.
